Microsoft has made announcement that their highly-anticipated second-screen application, Xbox SmartGlass app, is now available on Android as well as Windows 8.
The app allows users to control features like Internet Explorer and Bing by typing and zooming on the handset, rather than the awkward gamepad. Users can navigate around the user interface with swipe-and-tap gestures, and select from huge stock of entertainment content now available to enjoy on the Xbox 360. Not only that, the app also functions as a remote control, allowing users to play, pause, rewind and forward audio and video content. It also able to use as track achievements, edit profiles and message Xbox Live friends.
Apart from the Xbox SmartGlass app launch on Android and Windows 8, Microsoft also plans to expand their particular app for Apple's iOS platform, even though the date is yet to be confirmed.
